Medicom to distribute DySIS in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro

Medicom has signed an exclusive distributor agreement for DySIS with Forth Photonics, covering Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro. The agreement marks the beginning of what will certainly be a very succesful collaboration that will bring DySIS into the clinics and practices of gynecologists of the region.

Forth Photonics signs agreement with Antisel to distribute DySIS in Bulgaria and Romania

Forth Photonics is happy to announce that ANTISEL SA has
signed exclusive distributor agreements for DySIS in Bulgaria and Romania.

Following the very successful launch of  DySIS at the Bulgarian 15th National congress of Gynaecological Oncology in April and with the support of Antisel, DySIS will make an impact and help Bulgarian gynecologists to increase their detetion rate for cervical neoplasia.

With the first DySIS being installed in Romania later this month,
the agreement with Antisel is expected to boost further growth in a country where cervical cancer occurs at an alarming rate, calling for new approaches to the problem.

DySIS presented at the 5th European Congress of the EFC

DySIS will be presented at the 5th European Congress of the European Federation of Colposcopy in Berlin (May 27-30). Come to our exhibition booth (#5 in the Potsdam-II hall) to see DySIS and discuss the clinical benefits it will offer you!!!

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discuss clinical study results during the poster sessions (Foyer Potsdam) with J. Louwers from the VUMC in Amsterdam,  the Netherlands and P. Tsetsa from the Alexandra hospital in Athens, Greece.

DySIS at the 15th National conference of gynaecological
oncology in Bulgaria 

DySIS was recently launched in Bulgaria at the 15th National Conference
of Gynaecological Oncology
in Veliko Turnovo. There was strong
interest from the delegates and the presentation on DySIS given during
the scientific programme was very well attended. The launch in Bulgaria
shows the continued growth of Forth Photonics and DySIS in Europe.

DySIS distribution in Italy

Forth Photonics announces that it entered a distribution collaboration with Technologic Srl "Hologic Italia" to distribute DySIS in Italy. This collaboration strengthens the presence of  Forth Photonics in Europe and gives Italian gynecologists the opportunity to upgrade their practice by embracing the benefits of DySIS.

Sales grow in Greece

Establishing a dedicated sales team in Greece has led to a significant growth of sales. Several private practices are now offering their patients a DySIS examination and numerous women have already been examined by gynecologists using DySIS in major clinics.

DySIS at the 16th International Meeting of the ESGO

Forth Photonics announces funding for further growth

Forth Photonics announces that it has completed its second round of fundraising, with new investment of €7.6m (£6.1m). The newly-raised funds are expected to take Forth Photonics’ first product through to full commercialisation.

Forth Photonics will use the funds to commercialize its medical device, DySIS (Dynamic Spectral Imaging System), which is the only medical device to use dynamic spectral imaging technology to assist gynecologists in the detection and mapping of precancerous and cancerous lesions of the cervix. The usage of DySIS has been shown in clinical trails to significantly increase the sensitivity of pre-cancerous lesion detection compared with traditional methods.

Investors who have participated in this round of fund raising are: NBGI Ventures, Albion Ventures, Scottish Venture Fund.

Fiona Lowrie, Forth Photonics’ Chief Executive, said:
“This funding will allow Forth Photonics to make the DySIS technology available to gynecologists internationally.
“We have ambitious growth plans, built on the solid
foundation of DySIS’ proven capability, and we plan to see DySIS adopted as the standard of care in our target countries.”

ISO 13485:2007 certification

The Quality Management System established and maintained by Forth Photonics as applied in the design, manufacturing and service of digital colposcopes and digital hyper spectral cameras meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 13485:2007 (Medical devices - Quality Management Systems - Requirements for Regulatory Purposes). The auditing and certification was performed by TUV Nord.

Sloane Street Gynaecology Clinic integrates DySIS

Thomas Ind has become the first private sector practice in the UK to be a Forth Photonics' customer. Thomas will use the DySIS medical imaging system in his colposcopy clinic in Sloane Street, London. Commenting on the integration of DySIS, Thomas Ind said "At the Sloane St Colposcopy Clinic we have always been committed to adopting the most advanced technology to ensure the highest standards of patient care. DySIS is the next generation of colposcopic equipment.

Forth Photonics locates in Scotland and builds its UK sales & marketing infrastructure

In the UK Forth Photonics have head-quartered the company in Edinburgh and have recruited key field-based staff to build clinical acceptance for the DySIS imaging system and support commercialization of the product.

Forth Photonics agrees distributorship with Medical Dynamics in the Netherlands

Forth Photonics has concluded an agreement with Medical Dynamics  whereby Medical Dynamics will distribute DySIS imaging systems in the Netherlands. Under this agreement the first two DySIS imaging systems have been sold to hospitals in the Netherlands.

Forth Photonics sells first DySIS imaging systems in Europe

Forth Photonics have sold the first DySIS imaging systems into hospitals
in Greece and Ireland. The DySIS imaging system is used by doctors to assist in their diagnosis of cervical cancer and pre-cancerous lesions.

The British Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology

DySIS was presented at the annual scientific meeting of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) in Birmingham (10-11 April). The oral presentation given by Prof. Balas received a conference award.

CE-Mark regulatory clearance

Forth Photonics announces that DySIS imaging technology for colposcopy received CE-Mark regulatory clearance for EU and affiliated countries.
The company has initiated procedures for FDA clearance.

Clinical trial completed

Forth Photonics announces the completion of a large clinical trial sponsored by the company. 447 women enrolled in the trial, performed at Hammersmith and Saint Mary’s Hospitals (London) and at Alexandra Hospital (Athens). The purpose of the trial was to compare the performances of cytology, colposcopy and DySIS imaging technology in discriminating high from non-high grade cervical neoplasia.
The company proudly announces that DySIS demonstrated
a performance significantly superior than that of both cytology and colposcopy.
